This plot shows the planetocentric east longitude and latitude of the MGS spacecraft while it is below 700 km altitude.  The square marks periapsis.  The plot background is a shaded relief map of Mars, which was obtained from the USGS Web Page.  The cylindrical equidistant projection is highly distorted near the poles.  A higher resolution postscript version of this image is here:  (543K, ps)
